4 Important Tips On How To Turn Failure Into Success
Life. What a journey isn’t it? It’s filled with so many challenges as well as beautiful lessons. Although I am in my mid-twenties, I am grateful to have learned many life lessons. As I get older, I know that I will face even more lessons. However, this is the time where I should be taking all of my mistakes (which I have definitely had made some) and turn it into my greatest lessons in life. I enjoy speaking with older people who are in the Z and Silent Generation who tell me a similar theme:
It doesn’t get any easier, you just have to deal with different types of issues that life throws at you.
This isn’t comforting but knowing that no one is excluded from this, is.

Now are you ready? Let’s talk about how to take failure and turn it into success.
Realize that this was part of the process
You’re probably wondering what process? This process called life. Life is a journey filled with so many ups and downs. We go through a lot of situations and there is something to learn from each of them. So realize that this is part of our journey. Embrace it and take on the next step.
2. Don’t be so hard on yourself
If you are always hard on yourself and never really give yourself a break, then this should be a time to really take a breath. It’s all about balancing out our mistakes and failures and realize that it’s part of reflecting and learning about yourself. However, if you are the complete opposite and don’t put yourself on a high standard, then change that mindset. It’s all about balance. Discipline yourself but also realize that if you are always in a negative place, that won’t get you far either.
3. Look into finding the silver-lining
Having a positive outlook on the situation is important. Having a positive attitude will help alter our perspective. Being positive after a failure is going to help see things in a better light and to also help see the lesson clearer. Yes it was a failure but what’s the outcome? What’s the lesson here? Find the silver-lining.
4. Take your lesson and start planning
Reflect on how you can do things differently next time. Where can you improve? What can you improve on? Where are the areas that you can do better in? What can you do differently next time? After you find the lesson in your failure, apply it in your next chapter. Start planning your future with all the changes and recommendations in mind.
Failure is part of our journey in life. Think about the best of the best in sports, music, entertainment, education, movements and other industries. None of those people wouldn’t of been successful if they haven’t failed once and continued with their journey. Embrace it, learn from it and keep going.
I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty six times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
